Nagi Noda was a Japanese pop-culture/fashion artist and short film director. She died in 2008 at age 34 due to complications in surgery after being injured in a traffic accident a year earlier.

Noda's works remind us how one culture's quirky and cute can be another culture's surreal and unsettling.
